MLK Day
of Service with PPN

in partnership with Thursday Network
and Serve DC

On January 13, 2018 the Executive Board and members of the Proud Professionals Network (PPN) partnered with Thursday Network and Serve DC for PPN's first ever MLK Day of Service 2018. For several years, Thursday Network, the young professionals auxiliary arm of the Greater Washington Urban League, has hosted a Blank & Toiletries Drive benefiting underserved and homeless populations in the DC and Maryland areas.

We were grateful to partner with these two amazing organizations to be able to do good for the DMV community. As part of the drive, we donated several blankets, shampoo, toothpaste, socks and chap stick for the care packages.

We met at the Franklin D. Reeves center on U St to help assemble the care packages, to be delivered on January 15 to those that need them.

A huge shout out to Thursday Network for their execution of another successful drive and a very special thank you to everyone from PPN that participated.
